Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to welcome you to the 2026 Large-Vessel Vasculitis (LVV) and Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) Conference in Istanbul, Turkey during October 1-2 2026, organised by Turkish Rheumatology Society.

This Meeting originated during late 1990s as an International Conference on Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Giant-cell arteritis (GCA) and evolved to be an imaging workshop as well as a Conference incorporating all large-vessel vasculitides including Takayasu Arteritis.

Our Conference aims to bring expert clinicians following LVV and PMR patients, researchers, healthcare professionals and industry representatives to present the latest research and the best care for our patients. Colleagues interested in LVV/PMR from Europe and Americas will be able to come together with the colleagues from countries in the Asia-Pacific Region which have more experience with Takayasu Arteritis. We believe multi-national and interactive nature of the Conference will enable a most valuable experience of discussion of the best research and clinical care in the LVV/PMR field.
Istanbul is uniquely situated for our aims as a city between two continents bringing together Europe and Asia with its convenient location for travel. As a city with a long history, we believe our participants will also use this opportunity to enjoy the cultural heritage of Istanbul.
